Today was a big day for D2CommunityHub! We finally dropped our first big Content Update: Profiles, Missions and Triumphs.
I spoke a little bit about it before in my Dev Insights Article, but I'll go into as much detail here as I can!
The first part of this update - Profiles!
Your profile is your place to connect Destiny 2 Community Hub with Destiny 2 itself. On the top right of the page, or in your Hamburger Menu on mobile, you'll see our shiny new SIGN IN WITH BUNGIE button.
This will take you through the usual Bungie Login Flow that you'll be familiar with having used any other third party sites. After logging in, you'll see these two new buttons at the top of the page - PROFILE and ACCOUNT
Your Profile is your place to show off how you've engaged with our community. You can equip Banners, Emblems, Badges and Profile Blocks to customise your profile however you like. Hit EDIT PROFILE at the top to pick and choose what you show on your Profile.
Here, you can select which Emblem, Banner or Flair you have equipped.
Currently, the only flairs available are rewards for the amazing folks who Pledge over on our Patreon - more details on that to come!
You may also see two other flairs around the site. Our Founders and our Community Moderators get extra flair so you can spot us on the site!
At the bottom of the page you can set your Profile Content. At the minute, we only have two. One to show off all your Badges, and the Badge Showcase, where you can choose up to 12 of your favourite Badges to show off.
Account Settings is fairly self explanatory. Under Connections, you can link your Discord Account to unlock benefits in the Destiny 2 Community Hub Discord Server. It also lets our Bot notify you whenever you complete a Mission or Triumph. It's also where you can redeem codes for Rewards. We will give these out occasionally, for various events and just for fun.
Linking your Patreon Account is also how you get your perks... Speaking of..!

D2CommunityHub is a passion project, run by fans for fans - no ads, no paywalls, just a home for the Destiny 2 community. Hosting, development, and the tools we use to keep the site running all cost real money, and that's where you come in.
This site has never been about profit, and we will never put any content on the site or community behind a paywall. Our Patreon is simply there for those of you who wish to support our cause, and help keep the lights on!
After linking your Patreon account, you'll be able to unlock your Perks on the site! With this launch, Supporters will be granted bonus Profile Emblems, Profile Banners, special Discord Roles in the Discord, and Supporter Flair to decorate your profile with!

The Director is the final part of this update, and likely the most important.
From The Director, you can see any Missions or Triumphs that we have currently set for the community. As you can see, Trials of Light is currently active, from the Solstice of Legends 2026 Event.
If you have anything pending, you'll see a Red Dot up top on the DIRECTOR button. It would have been neat if I made a way for me to show that, but I claimed all my triumphs like an idiot and I didn't... So I guess we'll all have to just imagine it :D
Clicking on a finished Triumph will grant you the appropriate rewards. Missions will auto-complete when you reach the criteria, and are automatically tracked by our Bungie API Scraper in the background. It's usually pretty good at keeping up to date, but if you finish a Mission and it doesn't show up, just give it a little bit. It can sometimes take a while for clears to show up in the API.
This update has been absolutely massive, over 60,000 lines of code written for it. There are bound to be bugs and things that I missed. If something isn't working right, please drop us a ticket in the Discord Server, and I will do my best to get it resolved.
I would also like to thank everyone for their incredible support in this project so far, and I hope that this update is something that you all enjoy - feedback is always welcome. Our goal is to create an amazing space for this community, and to try and give everyone a place to celebrate this amazing game, and to do our best to create interesting Missions and Events, to give us all a reason to log in each week. Of course, there's nothing we can do in terms of the game itself, we would love to be able to give out in-game rewards and loot, but we are doing our best to make our Events feel exciting and rewarding.
Well, I've rambled on for quite some time. I'm in dire need of a nap. The servers seem to be working properly, so I think it might be safe to do that (famous last words). Thank you to anyone that read through and made it this far!
