Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data D2CommunityHub collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and the Discord bot that goes with it.
D2CommunityHub is an unofficial, fan-made community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to Bungie, Inc. Destiny, Destiny 2, and all related names, logos, artwork, characters and other content are the property of Bungie, Inc. We claim no ownership of any of it, and nothing on this site should be taken as coming from Bungie or as speaking on their behalf.
You can read almost everything on this site without an account. We only start holding data about you when you sign in, link an account, or send us something.
What we collect

We never see your Bungie, Discord or Patreon password. Those services handle sign-in themselves and only tell us who you are.
What we do not do
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
- We do not ask for your email address unless you apply to the Creator Hub.
- We do not build advertising profiles or share your data with advertisers.
Cookies
We use four cookies and all of them are strictly necessary for the site to function. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you are not being asked to accept any.
- user_session - keeps you signed in. It is encrypted and expires on its own.
- bungie_oauth_pending, discord_oauth_pending, patreon_oauth_pending - each lives for a few minutes at most, only while you are being redirected to sign in or link an account.
Who else sees your data
We pass data to these services only as far as the feature you are using requires:
- Bungie - to sign you in and to read your Destiny activity.
- Discord - only if you have linked your account, to deliver notifications and manage your roles.
- Patreon - only if you have linked your account, to confirm your pledge tier.
- Our hosting and content delivery providers, which necessarily handle traffic in order to serve the site to you.
Your Destiny activity is public information published by Bungie. We read it from Bungie's own systems; we do not obtain it from you.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in sessions expire automatically and are deleted once they do.
- Technical error diagnostics are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Creator Hub applications are kept while the program runs, so we can remember who applied and what was decided.
- Everything else is kept while your account exists.
Your choices and your rights
You can do some of this yourself, at any time, from your Account page:
- Unlink Discord - this also removes any roles the link had given you.
- Unlink Patreon.
- Turn off completion notifications.
- Change what appears on your public profile.
You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it. Account deletion is handled by hand rather than by a button, so please get in touch and we will confirm once it is done.

Children
This site is intended for people old enough to hold a Bungie account under Bungie's own terms. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site or in our Discord rather than made quietly.
