When we first launched the D2 Community Hub, we had one simple goal: create a place where Guardians could continue celebrating the game and the community we all love.
The response has been nothing short of incredible.
Thanks to your support, we've been able to grow far beyond our original vision. Today, we're excited to give you a first look at our roadmap and some of the features, events, and initiatives we're working on over the coming months.
While this isn't everything we have planned, it's a glimpse into the future of the Community Hub—and we're just getting started.
The Community Hub is more than just a website or Discord server—it's a new home for Guardians following Destiny 2's final update.
Over the coming months, we'll continue expanding both platforms with new ways to celebrate the Destiny community.
Below is our roadmap. We will explore some of the upcoming features in greater detail.
Let's dive a bit deeper into some of the plans we have for the short term future, which you can expect in the coming weeks.
The current plan is to release our community TWID weekly following Bungie's final TWID. We don't currently know when this will be, but if they haven't released it by the end of July, we will begin in early August.
We will feature be covering upcoming Community Hub events, upcoming featured in-game activities, Art of the Week, Movie of the Week and more. Read all about it .
Following GCX, we will be launching our Creator Program for all existing D2 Creators. After Solstice of Legends, we will open up applications. Read more about it here!
Every month we will be doing creator spotlights, highlighting creators we believe are going above and beyond for the Destiny 2 community.
We recently featured Abaddon in our first Creator Spotlight article. Go check it out here!
We're looking at setting up some fun events to bring the community together. We have big seasonal events such as Solstice of Legends planned (more on that later), but we also have some smaller surprises to look forward to!
In the long term, we hope to have an account login and profile page available on our website, which will open up a lot of incredible opportunities for us. This is in the planning stage currently, but I hope you can all look forward to it!
With an Bungie account login and profile page, we will be able to issue challenges and offer account badges and triumph seals. This is a feature we are really excited about and we can't wait to share more with you about it in the future!
One of our biggest goals is to carry on the seasonal celebrations that bring Guardians together throughout the year.
Inspired by Destiny's iconic annual events, the Community Hub will host its own community-focused celebrations, each featuring unique challenges, competitions, and opportunities to showcase your creativity.
Below is our current event calendar, which we will dive a bit deeper into.
Solstice of Legends is our first community event, and feedback from it will help shape the future of our community events. We have quite a bit planned for it, and will be dropping a dedicated article with all the details soon. We hope you are all looking forward to this event.
Festival of the Lost is our three-week Halloween event. Details for this event and ones beyond it aren't set in stone, but we aim to emulate Bungie's official community events. Look forward to spooky fashion contests, pumpkin carving challenges, and more!
The Dawning is our three-week Christmas event. Much the same as Festival of the Lost, details aren't concrete, but we will be hosting a cookie baking contest, among other things. We hope you look forward to it!
Crimson Days is the first of our two-week mini seasonal events. We're taking this unique opportunity to revive this long dormant event. We will have more details closer the time!
The Revelry is our two-week Spring event. Another long dormant event which we will be breathing some new life into!
Guardian Games is our three-week class versus class competition. We're keeping our plans close to our chest, but we are VERY excited about this one.
This isn't everything we have planned, we have some smaller 1-week events planned which we will sprinkle throughout the year to keep things fresh and give players new things to do. We hope we can continue to rally the community together!
This roadmap is only the beginning.
As the Community Hub continues to grow, we'll continue listening to your feedback and building new features, events, and opportunities to celebrate the incredible Destiny community.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
We're excited for everything that's still to come.
Guardians make their own fate. 💙
